US Government Shuts Down

The government of the United States has announced that it is undergoing a shut down process of large parts of the organization. This was announced this morning after rounds of political sparring that failed to prevent the 1st federal shutdown in more than 20 years. 2 million US federal workers will go to work as usual and the will then be informed if they are a part of the essential core, if they are not, they will be sent home. It is estimated that more than 800,000 workers will be sent home.
